Rose Water Fairy Cakes!

Dear Readers

 I know I said I would be blogging every Sunday, but tomorrow I am particularly busy so today will have to do.

Today I decided to make the rosewater fairy cakes- they are one of my favourite recipes as they are- simply put- deliciously-light-and-scrummishly-classic!

One word of advice- I know Harry says to add the rosewater, lemon zest and the courgette at the same time, but I personally find it easier if you add the rosewater and lemon zest first, then once they are mixed in add the courgette with a wooden spoon-not the electric whisk. Trust me on this- it goes EVERYWHERE otherwise!

For decorating I have found the most amazing dried flower petals- they are so natural and look gorgeous on the cakes. If you would like to buy some the brand is;

Uncle Roys Comestible Concoctions; Eat-Me

They are all fab, although some of my favourites are the rose petals, the lavender, the cornflowers, ooh and the safflowers. Simply perfect to decorate any cake!

Do you ever think about how useful vegetables are? Really- what can't you use them in? From salads to soups, from soups to most importantly cakes, they are remarkably good at multitasking!

And they were a success! Although, they seem to have stuck to the cake cases alot- perhaps the new cases I used? My brother Ben said they were delicious, maybe because I tried adding Lemon Juice instead of Lemon zest. Either way they're scrummy!
